New Version of the Farm Crap App to be launched this spring

The Farm Crap App Pro will be launched at the industry's Grassland and Muck event scheduled to take place at Stoneleigh in May of this year.

Over the last 12 months the app team have been busy working to refine the app and include some of the features that farmers suggested. The new version, the Farm Crap App Pro is still free to download and available on Apple and Android devices, allows users to seamlessly complete whole field nutrient management plans from the tractor cab, farm office or standing in the field.

The new version includes the ability to map your farm within the app, take into account crop requirements and include different methods of spreading manures and slurries, as well as the ability to include bagged fertiliser applications. Through providing this information farmers are able to make the best use of the nutrients found in their manures and slurries and top up with fertilise to ensure quality crops, water protection and sustainable production systems.

At the end of April, the team behind the development are hosting two events for farmers to come along and try it out and tell them what they think. This was a crucial step in the development of the original app and led to its final success out in industry. At two evening events which are free to attend, there will be a demonstration of the app highlighting its new features, and then a chance to play with it and see what works and what doesn’t.
